Their saltfish and bakes and callaloo are wonderful. Later in the morning they produce mouth-watering rotis (fish, lambi, chicken or mutton). Their Grenadian lunches are delicious, with such local wonders as curried goat or Caribbean Baked Chicken to tempt your tastebuds. Eat it in their back garden with soca on the sound system and gorgeous lizards cavorting over the rocks – what a dream of a lunch!

The sunset and after sunset skies around Grand Anse are exquisite. You can feel the enchantment in the air as the sun sinks into the crystal sea. Relax on your balcony in the early morning and watch the beach slowly come to life. Terns and Boobies arrow into the water with hardly a splash, and then emerge with a fish in their beak. Frigate birds slowly circle overhead whilst the first people come for an early swim. Just by the Allamanda gate there is a lovely old Seaside Almond tree, a cool place to rest in the shade and just watch the life of the beach.
